The Great Quest for
Meaning
As humans, we spend a lot of our lives trying to find a greater meaning in what we do. Sometimes, that hunt can leave us burnt out or jaded, as the exhausting, unrewarding journey makes it feel like nothing really matters.
Even if we finally stumble upon some form of purpose in life, it’s often tough to balance doing good for others whilst taking care of our own mental and physical needs.

Navigating a
Precarious Path
While a lot of creative people dream of doing impactful work that makes positive change, it’s often a path filled with numerous obstacles.
A competitive, stressful industry rife with not-so-healthy workplace cultures and a lack of resources for less commercial projects are just some factors that make doing good difficult.

Sharing the Value
of Design
On the other hand, ground-ups and non-profit organisations have a million things to worry about each day as they work to address urgent social needs.
While design is probably the last thing on their mind, it has the potential to add great value — by improving outreach out to potential donors, volunteers and beneficiaries, whether its for things like fundraising, awareness or education.
This is why Making Meaning's core role is providing a platform that gives non-profits access to creative resources and volunteers, building an appreciation and understanding for the important role design plays.
